Web applications
Next.js / React on the front, Node or Python behind it. Postgres with Prisma or SQLAlchemy. SSR where SEO matters, SPA where it doesn’t.

APIs and services
REST and GraphQL. OpenAPI specs generated from source, not hand-maintained. Go or Rust when throughput or latency is the constraint.

Cloud infrastructure
AWS and Azure, defined in Terraform. ECS or Kubernetes depending on team size. Lambda for spiky workloads, not for everything.

Integration
Salesforce, SAP, Stripe, and the vendor API with the twelve-page PDF for documentation. Idempotent handlers, dead-letter queues, replayable events.

Platform and CI/CD
GitHub Actions pipelines, blue/green and canary deploys, IaC in review. OpenTelemetry into whatever backend you already pay for.

Architecture review
Written assessment of an existing system: bottlenecks, failure modes, migration paths, and cost. Delivered as a document, not a workshop.

We push to your GitHub or GitLab, not ours. Conventional commits, PRs with descriptions, no squashed 40k-line drops at handover.
Boring technology by default
Postgres before a bespoke datastore. A queue before an event mesh. New tech only where the workload actually demands it.
Tests and CI included
Test coverage on business logic and integration boundaries. Pipelines are part of the deliverable, not a line item.
Documented for the next engineer
ADRs for decisions worth explaining, runbooks for anything on-call touches. Written for whoever inherits it.

How we work

Scoping call
60–90 minutes. Existing stack, constraints, integration surface, and what “done” means.

Technical proposal
Within a week: architecture sketch, chosen stack with reasons, milestones, and a fixed price where scope allows.

Build
Two-week iterations. PRs into your repo from day one, written update every Friday, staging environment from the first milestone.
04
Handover
Deploy to your cloud account. Terraform state, runbooks, ADRs, and a walkthrough with whoever picks it up.
05
Support
Optional retainer with a defined response window, or a clean exit. No lock-in either way.
